I am so thankful to a dear colleague and friend of mine for introducing me to Emily and coincidentally allowing me the opportunity to capture she and Britt’s story.  I sat down with these two at Fido over coffee and listened to stories about how they met, wedding plans, future plans and how they have pushed each other to the place where they are now. With every word they thoughtfully looked back at the other one, smiling as they reminisced about the past and looked forward to the future. There is a beautiful balance between the two of them, they are the other ones biggest cheerleader while simultaneously coaching each other through life, not allowing each other to give up or move backwards. These two made for a vibrant afternoon around Germantown and East Nashville. Emily’s beautiful confidence and Britt’s effervescent personality created an ease in front of the camera, they aren’t apologetic of their affection for each other and I could hardly keep from snapping my shutter every second. The adoring gaze you see on Britt’s face or the smile of complete assurance as Emily leans into him was not merely a pose for the camera, but a consistent demeanor throughout our afternoon together. These two make me smile and I am looking so forward to August when I can capture the beginning of a whole new chapter for them. Enjoy!
