May twelfth of this year started out in preparation as it does for any wedding that I photograph. Packing gear, checking batteries and printing timelines. I drove to the location where Jennifer & Sean would be getting ready and from the moment I laid eyes on Jennifer that morning I knew May twelfth would be much more, so much more than just a wedding ceremony. Every detail was so bold, proclaiming the name of Jesus all the way down to the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Every moment was so beautiful as so many cherished friends and family members poured out their love, prayers and time on Jennifer & Sean. Their wedding day was full of emotion, sharing sweet moments with a friend and remembering the loss of another, a father seeing his daughter for the first time on her wedding day and a groom praying for a life marked by the Gospel of Christ while holding a handkerchief over his eyes so as not to see his bride until she walked down the isle. There are certain moments from every wedding that tear me up, usually father daughter dances ( or anytime a sweet father loves on his daughter ) and seeing a groom lay eyes on his bride for the first time. That day however, I felt as if at any moment I could have broken into an outpouring of joyful tears. Tears of joy for two dear friends as they join together in a beautiful, sacrificial, amazing covenant before the Lord. I want to thank you Jennifer and Sean for sharing the love of Christ with me that day, through tiny reminders like boutonnieres, oil lamps and bright red dresses that symbolize the cleansing blood of Christ to a time of worship that will stay close to my heart. My dear friends, my heart is ecstatic for you two and I hope these photos will be a wonderful reminder of a beautiful day! And I leave you with a quote from a book that some wonderful bride & groom gave me
